Wooow ... this is some serious investment by Tesla. The initial costs of the battery packs are going to be reduced by nearly half. and the infographics in the article are really great. Looks like thats the way data us going to be presented in all media. maybe even gifs to make the data talk. Though it does come up with some questions.
- What would be the life of the battery packs ?
- How fast can they be recharged ?
- How much space are they going to take in the vehicles ?
- How much more electricity will be required to be generated to power all these EVs. Though electric power generation is lot cleaner and efficient than the internal combustion engine
- Whats the plan of shipping these to third world countries so that our congested cities get some cleaner last mile transport
- We also need some serious tax breaks for people to go for EVs in the big way
- Would like to know the % cost of battery cost in the overall EV Cost ?
Though this is really encouraging news for the planets health and hope the countries and economies do latch on to this new revolution.
